Synchronised skating is a specialised skating discipline. The CPLM has created a special section called Lausanne Ice Genesis to develop this speciality.[A1] Teams are made up of 12 or more skaters who perform different formations and manoeuvres as a group. The aim is to skate in unison, executing circles, blocks, lines, wheels and crossovers to the rhythm of the music, using quality edge moves and physical power, all in harmony. Being part of a synchronised skating team allows you to perfect your step execution, gain speed and glide, and learn to work as part of a team.
