CSM SA leads an active policy of social and environmental responsibility. As a joint-stock company with predominantly public ownership, CSM SA is committed to adopting exemplary governance
Vaudoise aréna’s social and environmental responsibility strategy is part of a long-term vision. On one hand, it aims to have a positive impact on the well-being of the population; on the other, it supports the development of regional high-performance sports. Accordingly, Vaudoise aréna develops a rich and varied range of sports and leisure activities for the public, tourists, and athletes alike. This flagship facility was also designed to host major sporting, cultural, and economic events such as the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games, the U19 Basketball World Championships, the Gymotion show, Lausanne HC matches, and concerts by internationally renowned artists. The ethical and inclusive development of sports and athletes is also at the core of the social responsibility approach, with an infrastructure that welcomes various disciplines and many sporting talents. As for its staff, Vaudoise Aréna promotes a culture of collective intelligence. The structuring of competencies, digital acceleration, and role specialization enhance the organization’s performance and efficiency while fostering autonomy.
CSM SA is actively committed to reducing the ecological footprint of its activities, particularly during major events. Numerous actions have been implemented in this regard: 1. Energy optimization between the Ice Centre and the Aquatic Centre, thanks to installations by LAZUR SA; 2. A park of 1,500 solar panels producing supplementary energy, thanks to installations by SIREN SA; 3. Responsible water management; 4. Use of recyclable materials, particularly during events; 5. Reduction and recycling of waste; 6. Digitalization and reduction of paper usage, notably through online ticketing; 7. Multiple initiatives to promote sustainable mobility and improve access to public transportation; 8. Construction of a 200-space bicycle parking facility; 9. Development of short, responsible supply chains; 10. Awareness-raising and training of staff. Thanks to these efforts, CSM SA provides a modern, environmentally friendly infrastructure as well as eco-responsible sporting and cultural events.
