The Beat Lausanne, the No. 1 Hip-Hop Festival in French-speaking Switzerland
After a sold-out edition #07 at the Geneva Arena, The Beat arrives with an explosive lineup at the Vaudoise aréna in Lausanne on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The evening promises to bring together the biggest voices in Francophone rap for an unforgettable musical experience. The No. 1 hip-hop festival in French-speaking Switzerland presents a brand new edition at the modern Vaudoise Arena, in parallel with Beat #08 which will take place on January 25, 2025, in Geneva.
Three artists are set to complete the lineup for this special evening: Kaaris, a pioneer of French rap, Luther, a true revelation of the year, and JRK 19, an emerging young rapper. They will join the bill alongside Josman, the rough diamond of Francophone rap, Maes, an essential figure in the genre, and Zamdane, the new prodigy.
This unique lineup promises to shake up the Vaudoise aréna for the very first Beat Lausanne.
KAARIS
A trailblazer of trap music in France, Kaaris has made a mark on the scene with his impactful style and incisive lyrics. This year, he celebrates the 10th anniversary of his unparalleled album "Or Noir" and has continuously reinvented himself while staying true to his roots, accumulating numerous successes and prestigious collaborations. His presence at Beat Lausanne promises raw energy and a memorable performance.
LUTHER
A rising figure in rap, Luther quickly made a name for himself with his unique flow and sharp lyrics. His tracks, both introspective and hard-hitting, have won over a loyal audience in a short amount of time. He is undoubtedly one of the revelations to watch closely, as evidenced by a sold-out Alhambra in just a few days during his first tour.
JRK 19
Raw, highly technical, and authentic rap defines JRK 19. After his 10-track project titled "FREE JRK," which featured the banger "Mec de Paname," the artist returned with force with his mixtape "Maudit à vie," which quickly climbed into the top albums chart upon release. It includes notable collaborations with artists like Maes, Mister You, and Yvnnis. He confirmed his success with a recent feature on the track "Bolide Noir" by English rapper Central Cee, which shot them straight into the global top charts, garnering over a million streams in just a few hours.
JOSMAN
A raw diamond of the French rap scene, Josman is a meticulous artist whose every project is a work of art. Since the release of his first album "J.O.$" in 2018, he has accumulated certifications, including a platinum record for "J.O.$" and a gold record for "SPLIT." His third album "M.A.N," released in March 2022, is undoubtedly his most accomplished work, crowned gold in just three months. Number one on the album charts upon its release, Josman continues to make an impact with his polished lyrics and musical depth.
MAES
Authentic, insolent, and warm: Originating from the 93, Maes made a name for himself with his mixtapes "Réelle Vie" and exploded with the single "Billets verts" in 2018. In the meantime, four successful albums (Pure, Les Derniers Salopards, Réelle Vie 3.0, and Omerta) have been released, and a fifth is in the starting blocks for this summer! The first single "SURVIE" with Ninho is already a hit. Get ready for a show full of classics and new hits.
ZAMDANE
Originally from Marrakech and based in Marseille, Zamdane won the hearts of the public with his first album "Couleur de ma peine," accumulating 90 million streams in 2023. With music imbued with melancholy and disarming honesty, he tells of his experiences between Marseille and Morocco. After the release of his new album "SOLSAD" at the beginning of 2024, Zamdane is ready to set the Lausanne stage on fire with powerful and sincere performances.
