Day tickets purchased for this occasion remain valid for the games taking place today.
For the first time ever, Switzerland will host a Basketball World Cup!
From June 28 to July 6, 2025, the Vaudoise aréna will become the stage for a unique event: the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup. The 16 best teams in the world and the future stars of basketball will compete in the heart of Vaud to claim the world title.
A Major International Event
As the third largest FIBA event after the Senior Men’s and Women’s World Cups, the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025 has often been the platform where NBA stars are born. For example, Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren showcased their talents during this competition in Riga, Latvia, in 2021, where they met in the final. Chet and Team USA claimed the title that year.
Thrilling Matches and Guaranteed Excitement
For this major international event, 16 teams from around the world will compete in Vaud. Divided into 4 groups, the teams will play 3 group-stage matches before advancing to either the top bracket (Places 1-8) or the lower bracket (Places 9-16). The quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the grand final will take place in the prestigious Aréna, while the Cooly ice rink will be transformed to host the remaining games.
